The beach beloved by Palermitans is located at Mondello1, a district of Palermo known as a seaside resort. It’s easily reached from the city centre by city bus.
Despite being a city beach with all services, it’s set in a very charming natural setting. The clear waters are calm and make this beach suitable for inexperienced swimmers and families with children too. In the evening, Mondello becomes a gathering place for young people wanting to party late into the night.
The bay of Carini, where Isola delle Femmine2 is situated, a small town nestled between two nature reserves and lapped by crystalline waters, is a succession of beaches and small coves, some with facilities and others free.


A long expanse of golden sand bathed by azure waters, with shallow, sandy seabeds and calm waters. It alternates between equipped areas and free sections and is also suitable for families with children.
One of the most stunning beaches on the Palermo coast is Cala Rossa, a small inlet in the municipality of Terrasini characterised by red rocks emerging from the sea, creating a truly spectacular sight.
A charming beach bathed by crystal-clear waters overlooking the distinctive little houses of the historic village. Cefalù beach, one of Sicily’s most spectacular beaches, gets very crowded during the summer months. It’s best to arrive early in the morning.
At the foot of Monte Gallo lies Sferracavallo beach, set within a fishing village famous for its fish restaurants.
